ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr Associate Microsoft 365 Engineer is a member of the End User Productivity (EUP) team. The EUP team is a global team responsible for the management and delivery of client solutions that address current and future business needs while ensuring value realization in the shortest possible timeframe, most specifically involving Microsoft 365 platforms, physical and virtual endpoints, collaboration spaces, end-user enablement, and related services.

This position is responsible for the delivery and support of productivity and collaboration services focused on the Microsoft 365 platform. This includes Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Stream, Office applications, Power Platform and related Microsoft 365 services.

The appointee will lead service improvement efforts and work with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to deliver solutions that promote ease of use, productivity and adherence to security requirements. The incumbent will also interact with departments across SCJ to understand requirements and deliver business value. This position also includes support of related EUP projects and platforms, service operations, and day-to-day level 3 support.

This is an onsite role in Racine, WI

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead continuous improvement efforts for the Microsoft 365 platform and collaboration tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in processes, systems or products. Propose and implement enhancements, including automation where appropriate, to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Use and promote practical automation and AI-enabled approaches to improve recurring operational work, troubleshooting, documentation and service delivery, using capabilities such as Azure Automation, Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio and other approved Microsoft 365 tools.
• Stay current through research and industry connections to support a progressive approach within the Microsoft and collaboration space at SC Johnson. Collaborate with the Service Owner to develop and maintain knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange and related services.
• Ensure compliance to standards and SLAs/XLAs by Managed Service Providers.  Serve as a first escalation point for MSPs for issues.  Monitor and analyze product performance metrics.
• Partner with the Service Owner to implement and improve solutions for SCJ application and infrastructure owners. Assist in defining and prioritizing product and service enhancements for the Microsoft 365 platform.
• Explore and apply agentic AI capabilities, including ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot, to improve productivity and reduce repetitive work while following SCJ security, privacy and governance requirements.
• Ensure SCJ standard infrastructure management processes are being followed, identify procedural issues and lead actions to remediate and correct processing as needed (examples: change, work, problem management).
• Experience coordinating and managing escalations with vendors and service providers.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and partners as needed for problem resolution.
• Support management of vendor and partner relationships as necessary.
• Lead and/or participate in strategic and operational projects and initiatives.
• Document processes, procedures and operational standards for maintenance and support.
• Participate in the development of team plans, service roadmaps and operational priorities.
• Provides 3rd level operational support for platforms. Off-hours support and a flexible schedule to accommodate a global team will be required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or related technical discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience with a global enterprise-level service.
• 3 years of experience with Microsoft 365 management and administration
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Demonstrated interest in applying generative AI and agentic AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot, to business and technology workflows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Automation and automation/agent development tools.
