Job Title: Procurement External Manufacturer Operation Manager

Location: Bangkok

Department: Procurement

            As EM Operation Manager you will own end-to-end coordination of EM partnerships, spanning supplier onboarding, production scheduling, quality control, and cost optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Execution of EM Sourcing Strategy: Align EM sourcing initiatives with organizational business goals by leading strategy execution—including supporting Portfolio contract negotiations with EM partners, driving supplier consolidation efforts to optimize procurement costs and reduce operational complexity, and ensuring all implementation activities adhere to predefined quality standards, delivery timelines, and budget targets.
  • Oversee End-to-End EM Partnership Coordination & Performance Management: Manage the full lifecycle of EM partnerships to ensure operational stability, with a focus on proactive performance oversight: lead supplier onboarding; coordinate production scheduling (balancing internal demand forecasts with supplier capacity); oversee quality control (work with Quality team monitoring partner performance, and enforcing quality requirements to prevent defects or delays); and establish a structured EM performance tracking system—defining KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery rate, defect rate, cost adherence),conducting periodic performance reviews (monthly/quarterly)、and working with underperforming partners to develop improvement plans, while recognizing high-performing partners to strengthen long-term collaboration.
  • Resolve Critical Operational Bottlenecks: Proactively identify and address high-impact EM operational issues to safeguard business continuity: resolve delivery delays (by collaborating with suppliers to expedite production or adjust timelines), support capacity expansion planning to meet growing demand, and drive continuous efficiency improvements to achieve cost-saving targets.
  • Develop EM Operations Team Capabilities: Build the long-term effectiveness of the EM operations team to sustain performance: design and deliver targeted upskilling programs, establish clear performance metrics and expectations, and provide one-on-one mentoring to enhance team members’ problem-solving, negotiation, and partnership management skills—ensuring the team meets ongoing operational demands and scales with business growth.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in OEM/ODM operations or supplier management within the FMCG industry, with practical experience in partner collaboration, sourcing execution, or resolving operational bottlenecks.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Thai and English (spoken and written) – a required capability for cross-team and partner communication.
  • Competence: Proven experience in supplier performance management (e.g., defining KPIs, conducting reviews) and cross-functional collaboration (e.g., coordinating with Quality, Planning, Sourcing teams).
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or supplier management tools to track EM operations, analyze performance data, and streamline workflow processes.
  • Experience in leading EM supplier consolidation or cost optimization projects in FMCG, with a track record of driving measurable results (e.g., 10%+ cost reduction, improved supplier efficiency).
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly in managing EM partner contracts (e.g., pricing, delivery terms) to balance cost control and long-term partnership stability.
