ABOUT THE ROLE
The Stockroom Attendant has responsibility to organize, stock, and track issuances of parts. This position performs all activities required to maintain housekeeping, organization and accuracy of the stockroom in accordance with corporate standards, including tasks such as performing SAP transactions to maintain appropriate inventory levels and preparing kits of parts for preventative maintenance activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Issue stock items to Work Orders, Purchase Orders or Capital Projects.
- Assist employees and project teams with identification and location of spare parts.
- Maintain integrity of inventory levels within SAP.
- Update associated tracking systems to reflect changes, additions, or removal of stocked parts.
- Identify opportunities to reduce inventory levels.
- Identify and monitor critical spares and non-moving items.
- Organize stockroom to coordinate common materials.
- Assist in updating equipment Bill of Materials.
- Assist in Material Master and purchasing information records management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience of Inventory Management within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated application of SAP as it relates to inventory management
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
- Prior experience with SC Johnson or in a manufacturing environment.
- Maintenance experience.
- Problem Solving experience.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Full time.
- Work hours Monday – Friday, day shift, with flexibility when required by business needs.
- Office environment 80% of time 20% manufacturing environment.
- This role is not eligible for relocation or remote work.
- Ability to complete the essential functions of the job and tolerate the ergonomic stressors of the job. This includes lifting, up to fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis, standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing, and pulling for up to eight (8) hours daily.
