ABOUT THE ROLE

The Stockroom Receiver has overall responsibility for receiving stock and non-stock parts/supplies required to support manufacturing operations and routinely interacts with maintenance, operations and project teams to identify, obtain and deliver required materials. This position will utilize SAP to monitor, identify and communicate material changes within stockroom inventories and update associated systems reflecting changes. They also are responsible for the oversight of the stockroom metrics and activities designed to drive improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for creation, editing, issuance and record retention of purchase orders and transactions.
  • Receive stock and non-stock items, complete entries in SAP, place into inventory, or deliver to appropriate parties when required.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and work with buyer to change or cancel purchasers as needed and maintain associated documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce inventory levels in line with business needs.
  • Perform required cycle re-counts of inventoried items.
  • Capture and document cost savings.
  • Update and monitor key Performance Indicators.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating equipment Bill of Materials.
  • Ensures receiving areas are stockrooms are well maintained per company standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience of Inventory Management within a manufacturing     environment.
  • Demonstrated application of SAP as it relates to receiving and inventory management.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Prior experience with SC Johnson or in a manufacturing environment.
  • Maintenance experience.
  • Problem Solving experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time.
  • Work hours Monday – Friday, day shift, with flexibility when required by business needs.
  • Office environment 80% of time 20% manufacturing environment.
  • This role is not eligible for relocation or remote work.
  • Ability to complete the essential functions of the job and tolerate the ergonomic stressors of the job.  This includes lifting, up to fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis, standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing, and pulling for up to eight (8) hours daily.
