Quality Technician

About the Role

Are you passionate about quality, continuous improvement and ensuring manufacturing excellence?

SC Johnson is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Technician to join our Rosslyn manufacturing team.

In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining product quality and compliance by conducting laboratory testing, supporting our Quality Management System (QMS) and partnering with manufacturing teams to drive quality standards across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical, physical and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure products meet internal quality standards, customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Identify quality deviations and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records and accurate quality documentation.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with ISO standards, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive quality compliance and continuous improvement.

Experience and Qualifications

• Matric and a National Diploma in Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quality Technician within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), laboratory testing and quality inspection processes.
• Working knowledge of quality assurance systems, tools and databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality control processes.
• Experience with chemical laboratory testing and equipment handling.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Important: Candidates must be willing to work morning and night shifts within a manufacturing environment.
