About the Role:
We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Regional Procurement Manager based at our Malaysia office to lead the Rigid Plastics & Resins portfolio across APAC. This is a high-impact role with regional scope, covering multiple business units and a complex, fast-growing spend area with a portfolio spend at USD90M+ annually.
You will partner closely with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to ensure supply continuity, deliver cost and cash improvements, and support innovation and sustainability goals. If you enjoy shaping category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving meaningful business outcomes, this role offers great visibility and growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Category & Strategy Leadership
Own the regional procurement strategy for Rigid Plastics & Resins, including bottles, caps/closures, pumps, triggers, injection‑molded components, and resins.
Develop and execute clear category roadmaps with defined priorities and milestones.
Build and manage a rolling 3‑year pipeline of cost savings and working capital improvements aligned with regional and global targets.
Cost, Cash & Performance Delivery
Deliver results across cost savings, working capital, service, and supply continuity.
Track commodity trends, manage inflation risks, and provide pricing insights to Operations.
Deliver accurate inflation forecasts to support budgeting and financial planning.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including RFI/RFPs, cost modeling, negotiations, and contracting.
Build strong, strategic supplier partnerships and lead business reviews with key suppliers.
Manage supplier selection and pricing support for innovation and new product launches.
Continuity, Risk & Sustainability
Own business continuity and resiliency strategies, including localization, multi‑site sourcing, and alternative materials.
Partner with R&D and cross‑functional teams to qualify alternative materials and reduce supply risk.
Drive sourcing actions that support sustainability goals and PCR targets aligned with Strategy 2030.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with Operations, Finance, R&D, and other stakeholders across a matrix organization.
Lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
What You Bring:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years’ experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain roles, ideally with regional exposure.
Preferred:
Strong experience developing and executing end‑to‑end category strategies.
Proven success delivering cost savings, cash improvements, sustainability, and risk mitigation.
Solid sourcing and negotiation skills, including should‑cost modeling and structured negotiations.
Experience in plastics and/or operational procurement is an advantage.
Strong financial, analytical, and project management skills.
Comfortable working independently in complex, ambiguous environments.
