ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will be responsible for developing the SCJ business at BJs through clear customer focus and effective business planning that uses a fact-based approach to understand opportunities, strengths and objectives. The BJs account requires an inordinate amount of lead time, therefore, attention to detail and previous successful account management experience is critical to effective job performance. To thrive in this position, you must possess experience that demonstrates an understanding of the complexities of supply chain management, consumer insights, trade fund management, merchandising, and promotion development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual will be accountable for directing all BJ activities to assure achievement of account growth/dollar objectives
Build strong customer relationships that result in partnership opportunities which drive sales, market share and profit
Develop and implement an annual corporate business plan aligned with objectives of the Large Format, Sr. Director of Sales, while working cross functionally to assure execution of the plans
Provide account specific promotional plan recommendations to ensure achievement of account growth goals while developing ongoing customer plans that are in alignment with corporate and customer goals
Develop long-term business relationships with buyers, replenishment managers, revenue management, marketing and operations managers within each business unit.
Revenue Responsibility, $36+MM
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years related sales experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years related sales experience
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting and planning tools
Working knowledge of consumer insights and business application of those insights
Demonstrated ability to penetrate the account at all levels adding value to the process
Previous Account Management (internal or external) experience and proficiency in computer skills and financial knowledge
Leadership Skills
• Previous experience providing strategy and direction to customers and employees.
• Ability to motivate cross functional groups to common goals.
• Ability to penetrate the account at all levels adding value to the process.
• Ability to adapt to changing internal and customer demands.
Decision-Making Responsibility
• Account specific strategic business plans.
• Sales forecasting.
• Deal spending within budget.
• Distribution recommendations for account.
• Merchandising recommendations for account.
• Pricing and promotion recommendations for account.
• T&E spending within budget.
Strategic Impact
• Participates in the internal budget process, as well as customer Joint Business Planning.
• Collaborate on both brand and channel strategy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Full time remote field position
20% travel, including availability to be onsite with customer in Boston
This role is not eligible for relocation
