The Continuous Improvement Lean Analyst will work under the direction of the Process Engineering Associate Manager, focusing on both Lean and process optimization projects. In this role you will be responsible for using Lean principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. The Lean Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, schedule, and implement continuous improvement activities (such as Kaizen) on the production floor of a manufacturing facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction

  • Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement events using Lean tools

  • Teach, lead, and coach cross-functional teams on Lean tools and methodology

  • Collaborate with multiple functions, such as logistics, to continuously improve processes both on the production floor and in transactional areas

  • Fully understand and apply Lean manufacturing principles

  • Assist and support the workflow and Lean processes for all departments

  • Analyze production methods using Lean manufacturing principles, benchmarks, and forms

  • Implement and monitor benchmarks related to Lean processes

  • Train and educate team members in all aspects of Lean processes and tools

  • Provide support to production staff to ensure that implemented Lean principles are being understood and followed

  • Assist Area Managers to ensure adherence to Lean principles

  • Promote and contribute to an incident and injury-free work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent Military experience

  • 1+ years of Manufacturing experience

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, etc

  • Evidence of Change Leadership

  • Project management experience

  • Experience in leading the implementation and utilization of Lean practices and tools (Kaizen, PDCA, CL, 5S, APTs, etc.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to reach multiple audiences

  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies to achieve target objectives and results

  • Strong initiative and leadership skills, with proven success in dealing with ambiguity and working independently

  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving a high degree of safety awareness and focus

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time, Monday - Friday with operational support outside core business hours as needed to support the 24x7 manufacturing environment

  • This position is not eligible for remote work

  • This role is not eligible for relocation
