As the Senior Executive Administrative Assistant you will provide top-tier administrative support to the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of SC Johnson.  This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the CHRO’s office, requiring a proactive individual with exceptional organization and communication skills that can work autonomously within established procedures and practices.  You will be responsible for managing complex schedules, handling confidential information with the utmost discretion, and facilitating effective communication between the CHRO and various stakeholders. 

For Internal Associates: This is a level A16 position


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Administrative Support:  Manage the CHRO’s calendar, plan and schedule meetings, and arrange domestic and international travel.  This includes coordinating details and travel related to Association Board meetings.

  • Liaison:  Serve as the primary point of contact between the CHRO and internal and external stakeholders 

  • Confidentiality:  Handle sensitive information including employee records, financial data, and strategic business initiatives with extreme confidentiality and care

  • Event Coordination:  Assist in organizing on-site and off-site HR-related events, meetings and special projects

  • Communication Management:  Screen and prioritize incoming communications, including calls, emails and meeting requests

  • Additional Duties:  Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the CHRO and HR department, including working outside normal business hours to accommodate peak workloads and urgent projects

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent  

  •  7+ years of administrative experience preferably in a corporate environment supporting a senior executive

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote) 

  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in proofreading, grammar/punctuation, telephone support, travel management, and report formatting 

  • High degree of professionalism and comfort in dealing with all levels of management, both within and outside the company 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

  • High degree of initiative and sense of urgency 

  • Ability to work in a team environment and handle pressure and deadlines

  • Willingness and ability to handle additional office manager duties 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full Time 

  • Monday – Friday; Some weekends may be required 

  • First Shift; Office Hours 

  • This role is not eligible for relocation

  • This position is not eligible for remote work
