Sr. Analyst, Tax and Statutory Accounting

ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate Manager, Tax and Statutory Accounting (TSA) for the Southern Europe, the purpose of this function is to support in the management of the statutory, insurance and tax obligations of the country of residence (Italy) ensuring that all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles and standards.
This role will also support on some statutory, insurance and tax matters for the Group member countries, liaising with outsourced services providers as per agreed template.
Assist TSA on the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations on the operation of the organization.
In addition, this role will support TSA in the management of various other financial activities like SSC projects / responsibilities, supporting other member countries within the group and local non- commercial finance legacy activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support TSA in the timely preparation of year-end tax schedules for Group Lead and Group Member countries, by completing/adjusting the template provided by the SSC according to the year-end timetable.
Assist TSA in maintaining financial statements and underlying records, which adequately reflect all transactions in accordance with S.C. Johnson, fiscal and statutory accounting policies/requirements, handling queries and matters raised by external and internal auditors, as well as by the tax authorities. Responsibility for Tax entries being accurate at month and year end.
Support TSA in the timely preparation and filing of all statutory reporting requirements and tax returns for Italy to ensure external parties provide timely and proper support in the (statutory) reporting requirements and tax returns as agreed with them via engagement letters.
Assist TSA in the management of in-country government / non-government compliance paper requests and on-going tax litigations.
Keep Italian statutory books updated and printed on time in compliance with the local legal and tax requirements.
Arrange for the Group Lead country shareholders, BoD and statutory auditors meetings when mandatory based on the local law and also on request, drafting minutes and keeping the relevant statutory books updated. This includes also the management of local signatures proxies to be kept updated in case of changes in the local organizational structure.
Ensure timely preparation and filing of the environmental taxes for Italy, together with support in the outsourcing to third party as soon as feasible.
Manage the day to day financial activities to maintain control over transactions and reporting, complying with GAAP, legal and SOAR requirements.
Management of all executions required for withholding taxes and some other indirect taxes for Italy.
Manage statutory fixed assets keeping updated one local tool in compliance with Italian statutory GAAP.
Maintain in control the paper/electronic storage of tax documentation for Italy in compliance with the local law. Supporting current and future projects related to the electronic storage of tax documentation.
Assist TSA in compiling responses related to “tax provision” work and to governments in case of audits.
Support TSA in assembling annual reports detailing intercompany transactions based on the business model in place.
Coordinate assembling of data for Italy to be provided for statistical reporting and Central Bank reporting. This could include working with SSC or an outsourced firm.
Supporting the Frimley SSC Customer Financials Team in activity related to Customer collections/Bad Debts/Bank guarantees including any legal/court presence as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree level education in Business Administration/Finance, or similar
Certified Public Accountant (Italian tax and Statutory accounting) with experience on statutory and corporation tax reporting of at least 2 years gained within multi-national company or a medium / large consulting company.
Ability to learn internal financial systems, organization and data source necessary to answer full range of financial statement questions.
Demonstrated ability to interact and work proficiently inside an international contest, able to build relationships at all levels and across function in an ambiguous environment.
Able to work autonomously with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize and a good team player.
Willingness and ability for outstanding results showing dynamism and curiosity
Fluent in English
Proficient in the use of Excel

The expected gross salary range for this position is between 38.840,00 EUR - 48.550,00 EUR. Job related skills, experience, and education, will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive, and/or long-term incentives.
