Associate Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

This role combines commercial FP&A business partnering with Canadian tax accounting and compliance responsibilities. The incumbent supports assigned Business and/or Customer portfolios through P&L management, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis to help drive profitable growth and informed decision-making. The role also leads key local tax activities for assigned legal entities, helping ensure strong financial stewardship and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with assigned customer and business teams to drive profitable growth, improve financial performance, and support fact-based decision-making across revenue, volume, trade investment, and P&L delivery.
  • Own forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for assigned areas of responsibility, including monthly outlooks, variance analysis, and insights to help deliver business and customer objectives.
  • Complete month-end activities for applicable P&L line items, including journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and related reporting, while maintaining strong financial controls and accuracy.
  • Support the annual planning and budgeting process, ensuring assumptions, risks, and opportunities are reflected appropriately and aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate key Canadian tax accounting and compliance activities for assigned legal entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and well-documented execution.
  • Partner with Corporate Tax and other stakeholders to support transfer pricing requirements, including development of quarterly segment financials and related analysis for the annual transfer pricing study.
  • Lead preparation of the tax provision model and supporting documentation, and maintain accurate records of provisions, installments, assessments, and other tax-related balances.
  • Coordinate tax audits and annual return support by preparing required documentation, reviewing filings, and ensuring timely approvals and payment processing.
  • Provide support for indirect tax and withholding tax activities, including review of calculations, required documentation, and payment approvals.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects, cross-functional initiatives, and ad hoc analysis as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • CPA designation completed
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in finance and/or accounting, preferably within a consumer packaged goods or similarly fast-paced business environment
  • Experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and month-end close activities
  • Working knowledge of Canadian corporate tax, tax accounting, and compliance requirements
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and fact-based problem-solving skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality results in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal, business partnering, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear business insights
  • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills, with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations
  • Experience with SAP, BPC, TPM, or related financial systems is an asset

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Office work environment: Remote work available once a week for eligible employees
  • This role is not eligible for relocation

The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 90,000.00 CAD - 118,125.00 CAD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives.
