The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 134,400.00 USD - 176,400.00 USD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives. As a family company, benefits are a key piece of our Total Rewards package as well and we’re proud to provide a comprehensive, competitive, and differentiated benefits program that our people and their families value.As the Manager, Portfolio & S&OP with a focus on Portfolio Strategy and Big Bets, Maintenance and Renovation Projects, Claims, and S&OP. you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with the identified audience and brand heart. The manager role involves collaborating with innovation teams, tracking velocities, updating assortments, and delivering a competitive portfolio. Additionally, you will develop relevant marketing and functional claims in line with EPA-approved registrations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Portfolio Strategy and Claims Development:
- Set the direction for short to long-term portfolio strategy for assigned brands, covering price tiers, segmentation strategy, bug type, etc., in line with the relevant audience, corporate goals, and Strat 2025 priorities, leveraging consumer insights.
- Craft individual brand purposes, including sustainability aspects where applicable.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive brand claim strategy, including a short to long-term roadmap of milestones.
- Create and maintain holistic brand design and identity, including visual brand languages.
- Work with the innovation team to identify and integrate brand-relevant innovations.
S&OP and Market Optimization:
- Oversee the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Step 1 process, ensuring alignment between supply chain, marketing, and sales to meet business demands.
- Track velocities and update assortments in partnership with the Category Management (CAT MAN) team to optimize product offerings.
- Deliver a winning portfolio strategy that positions the brand competitively against market rivals.
- Collaborate with the Media Agency and Consumer Insights and Business Analytics team to measure the effectiveness of communication plans and develop a learning agenda focused on generating insights, best practices, and future improvements of programs.
Integrated Growth Planning and Strategic Alignment:
- Lead integrated growth planning efforts related to problem-solving alignment, portfolio prioritization, and product innovation.
- Develop and manage relevant marketing and functional claims in line with EPA-approved registrations, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
- Foster an environment of continuous media evolution, learning, and improvement, promoting a culture of innovation and best practices.
- Provide media capability training and education to Marketing Commercialization teams, enhancing their ability to be consumer-centric and omnichannel, driving overall marketing effectiveness.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of related work experience or 3-5 years with an advanced degree.
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- 5-7 years of marketing experience in developing consumer products.
- Leadership of cross-functional teams.
- Successful partnerships with agencies and ability to leverage IMC assets into execution.
- MBA preferred.
- Passion for creativity and innovation.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and able to turn that to advantage.
- High sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated team leadership and development.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data and consumer insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Requirements:
- Full time onsite role in Chicago ,IL
- Core collaboration hours are 9 AM - 3PM; flexibility outside these hours to meet a standard 40+ hour work week and evolving business needs
- Office work environment: Remote work available once a week for eligible employees
- This role is eligible for domestic relocation
