SC Johnson is currently looking for an Associate Manager, Field HR to join our team in Erkrath, Germany with an exciting scope supporting 5 countries across Central Europe.
Overview
The HR Associate Manager based in Germany is responsible for delivering on our strategic corporate goal to be the Best Place to Work for People Inspired by our Values and Purpose. Specifically, this opportunity encompasses the broad spectrum of HR initiatives across 5 countries, including sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and other functions. Our HR team plays a critical role in preserving our great culture as a family owned company for five generations. In partnership with HR Delivery Center and COEs, this HR Assoc Manager will partner directly with business leaders and employees across 5 countries in the Central Europe cluster (Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary).
This role reports to the HR Director for Central Europe. this role is responsible for employee relations, onboarding, talent management, leadership development, change management, diversity, performance management, workforce planning and compensation planning / implementation.
Responsibilities
Deliver HR support to the business (both strategic and operational)
Trusted advisor to people on all people related matters
Educate, coach and support line managers in people topics
Drive internal engagement / Great Place to Work initiatives
Plan and facilitate the annual HR processes including merit review, performance review and succession planning with business leaders in partnership with Talent partner
Lead/participate in various HR projects based on current business needs
Collaborate with the local works council and foster positive employee relations
Drive employer brand and local recruiting initiatives
Collaborate with the HR Delivery Center on payroll related topics, onboarding, offboarding and other key employee lifecycle events
Prepare analysis, reports, and presentations
Experience you’ll bring:
Relevant Bachelor/Master degree in HR Management, Economics, or Social Sciences or comparable education
A minimum of 4 years of experience in HR
Motivated, dynamic and result-oriented team player with the willingness to learn new things
Analytical and conceptual thinking
Excellent organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
Very good MS office knowledge, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
Behaviors you’ll need:
Experience as an HRBP
Strong training facilitation skills (both in person and virtual)
Proficient with HR Information Systems (i.e.: Workday®)
Demonstrated ability to identify, build credibility, and gain commitment from key stakeholders
Experience working in a global organization where interaction across functions, regions and business units is key to success
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple programs, processes and projects simultaneously
Strong leadership, consulting and change management skills
