Director, Manufacturing Operations

Location: Gorzow, Poland

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, Manufacturing Operations will provide strategic and operational direction for Gorzów manufacturing site and ensure that the strategic plans and business objectives are being developed, deployed, implemented with corporate Safety Guidelines and executed in terms of manufacturing as well as product & process engineering in the correct quality, delivery performance and at lowest competitive cost in line with local practices and constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage plant within the agreed revenues, expense levels, new process & product development, headcounts and capital.

• Ensure that adequate Sales & Operations Planning performance is developed, deployed, implemented and executed.

• Ensure that relevant World Class or Lean Manufacturing practices are being developed, deployed, implemented and executed.

• Manage the facility results in terms of costs, methods, delivery, productivity, quality and quantity of assembly operations and personnel, in line with SCJ requirements and business/financial objectives.

• Establish, manage, propose and get approval for the plant annual budgets, in line with regional and global company’s targets and constantly drive cost-out initiatives

• Act as the responsible site-manager serving all legal entities on site including the responsibility for legal & environmental affairs.

• Develop and maintain efficient relationship with local authorities and decision-making organizations in order to identify all possible threats and opportunities affecting the operations and safeguard SC Johnson long term interests locally.

• Evaluate, validate and recommend staffing needs in order to constantly provide high quality and flexible operations and thus enhance performance, with the lowest cost.

• Develop meaningful and strategic functional performance measurements and tools which enable results to be easily interpreted and understood.

• Ensure that subordinates are highly motivated, through efficient technical support and implementation of adequate training programs, in order to enhance the work climate and productivity in his/her plant, in relation with SC Johnson Corporate values.

• Maintain optimal communication with all departments within the company in order to ensure proper transfer of the information necessary to manage and achieve all departments’ objectives, managing by example.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering/industrial, chemistry, business administration or relevant field.

• 10 years’ experience as a senior leadership level in a manufacturing environment.

• Fluent in Polish and English.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

• Master’s Degree.

• Strong knowledge of World Class or Lean Manufacturing Practices.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Both operational and project management approach.

• Strong commercial and business constraints awareness.

• Strategic thinking ability.

• Strong business and financial acumen.

• Negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with the ability to build organizational relationships.

• Visionary thinking and used to operate in highly complex environment.

The expected annual salary range for this position is between 455,500.00 PLN - 597,765.00 PLN. Job related skills, experience, and education, will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive, and/or long-term incentives.
