The Associate Manager, Sales Operations (Key Account Channel Management) serves as the strategic architect for the Key Account (KA) channel. This role is responsible for driving annual channel sales planning, including Gross-to-Net (GTN) and In-store investments. The incumbent acts as a critical partner to the sales team, providing data-driven insights and operational frameworks—including perfect store standards and merchandiser efficiency—necessary to deliver superior results in Modern Trade.Internal Job Title: Associate Manager, Sales Analysis
Key Responsibilities
Channel Strategy & Annual Planning
- Annual KA Planning: Lead the annual sales, GTN and In-store investment planning for the entire Key Account channel to ensure sustainable growth and profitability
- JBP Support: Partner with the sales team to prepare and negotiate high-impact Joint Business Plans (JBPs)with key retailers.
Category Management Support & Insights
- Customer Marketing Partnership: Provide data-driven support to the Customer Marketing team in developing category management strategies based on shopper insights and scan data.
- Space Management Support: Support the development of Planograms and fixturization in partnership with Customer Marketing.
- Scan Analysis: Support the sales team with monthly scan sales analysis (e.g., Nielsen, Dunnhumby) to track performance and identify market gaps.
Operational Excellence & Perfect Store
- Perfect Store Definition: Define and track "Perfect Store" standards specifically tailored for the Key Account channel to drive in-store execution.
- Merchandiser Efficiency: Design and deliver an efficient merchandiser network to ensure optimal stock availability and shelf compliance.
- Incentive Strategy: Drive sales capability and design incentive schemes for the KA channel to motivate and reward high performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in Key Account Sales, Sales Operations, Trade Marketing
- Technical Mastery: Advanced analytical skills and strong computer skills, specifically a "must-have" proficiency in MS Excel.
- Data Proficiency: Experience in Nielsen and Retailer Scan Data analysis.
- Industry: Past working experience in the FMCG industry
- Competencies: Strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to influence across the organization.
- Language: Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
