Overview
To support Engineering manager in achieving effectively maintenance planning and scheduling. The incumbent is to provide resources needed for maintenance activity and ensure the activities are carried
out as scheduled. Also to reschedule in case of emergency and provide all necessary resources needed. The incumbent must be able to communicate freely with other sections of the company on all issues relating
to maintenance, cost and safety in line with the company set objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
- Plan corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal impact on production.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production, engineering, and safety departments.
- Review, prioritize, and assign work orders.
- Ensure accurate job plans, including labor, materials, tools, and safety procedures.
- Track and update work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Work closely with the stores department to ensure the availability of required spare parts.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance cost control with equipment uptime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS.
- Analyze equipment downtime, failure patterns, and maintenance costs.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance performance and KPIs.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment issues.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other reliability programs.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Incorporate risk assessments and safe work procedures into job plans.
Experience you will bring:
- BSc or Higher National Diploma preferably in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field plus at least 3-5 years maintenance planning experience in manufacturing, processing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of safety, health and environment plus skills in computer in the use of MS Excel, word, CorelDraw, CMMS software and able to interpret electrical drawings will be an added advantage

- Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS tools.
