Associate Manager, Modern Endpoint Engineer

About the role

As the Associate Manager, Modern Endpoint Engineer, you will be responsible for updating, modernizing, and setting technical direction for our highly visible endpoint platform.  The role requires one to look at our environment with an innovative and breakthrough mindset to set direction and continue to modernize our endpoint devices while meeting business needs and ensure supportability with a lens of security and end user experience.  In this role you will work cross functionally to provide and integrate modern deployment solutions, cloud-first strategies, and related initiatives; and will be expected to participate in specific project rollouts, merger and acquisition activities, and operational activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lead expert in implementing and innovating Modernized Endpoint solutions for SCJ application and infrastructure owners. Define and prioritize product features, requirements, and roadmaps. Analyze updates from vendors and add to roadmaps/plans. 
  • Stay current and relevant through research and industry connections to provide a progressive approach within the End User Computing space at SC Johnson.  Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the full SCJ Endpoint ecosystem, including hardware, operating system(s), applications, and security. Collaborate with End User Experience Lead/Manager and leverage endpoint user experience tools such as Nexthink.
  • Set standards and SLAs/XLAs as Service Owner for Managed Service Providers and serve as a final escalation point for issues.  Monitor and analyze product performance metrics.  Ensuring Managed Service Provider is delivering quality service.
  • In collaboration with IT Security function recommend and evaluate new IT security policies, technologies etc.
  • Develop and implement/update Endpoint standards, policies, procedures, and end user experience/end user success metrics.  Manage vendor relationships and ensures software licensing compliance.
  • Ensure SCJ standard infrastructure management processes are being followed, identify procedural issues and lead actions to remediate and correct processing as needed (examples: change, work, problem management).
  • Lead resolution of technical outages by engaging multiple teams and vendors, provide on-call service as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related business degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the Endpoint and Desktop Management space including but not limited to systems design, implementation and support with focus on infrastructure and application integration
  • Experience in overall administration, configuration and design for Microsoft (Windows, iOS, Android) is a must
  • Experience working with Active Directory, Microsoft Azure AD, SCCM (MECM), Mobile Device Management (Intune, XenMobile, AirWatch, JAMF) is highly preferred
  • Microsoft or AWS certifications are a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in two or more of the following:
    • Administration, configuration and design for Modern Endpoint Management (Microsoft Intune, JAMF)
    • Experience working with at least two of the following: Active Directory, Microsoft Azure AD, SCCM, GPO, or CPC

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Transformative experience with Endpoint services in medium to large sized company.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions work.
  • Strong Leadership Qualities
  • Proven track record of a cross team collaborative approach
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome difficult challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  • Microsoft and/or Intune certifications are a plus

Job Requirements:

  • Permanent, full-time employment
  • Onsite work setup (M-F); 1 day remote per week after 3 months (4x office + 1 day remote/week)
  • Dayshift or midshift (flexible working hours); flexible to work in EMEA and US time zone if necessary
  • This role is not eligible for relocation
