ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for the timely and cost-efficient execution of inventory deployments (FG, Semi FG, and RMPM) from pre-defined lanes (Vendors or SCJ Manufacturing Facilities heading towards SCJ DCs) within the scope of International Logistics. To deliver excellence in customer service - at The Right Time, Right Place, Right Quantity, Right Quality, at the least possible cost. The scope of the role includes oversight on all modes of transportation (Ocean, Land, Air, Intermodal) of RMPM, Semi FG, and Finished Goods within the Supply Chain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage end‑to‑end import and export logistics activities, ensuring timely, cost‑efficient inventory deployments of RMPM, Semi‑FG, and Finished Goods across international lanes.
Oversee shipment planning, booking, documentation, and milestone tracking across all transport modes (ocean, air, land, and intermodal) to meet delivery plans and SLAs.
Ensure full compliance with SC Johnson policies, international trade regulations, customs requirements (including AU/NZ), transport safety, and dangerous goods standards.
Monitor inventory visibility, shipment traceability, and operational KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, container utilization, case cuts, GSA utilization) in close coordination with warehouse and supply chain teams.
Drive continuous improvement and cost‑efficiency initiatives through LEAN / OPEX methodologies, including cost savings and inflation management.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Customer Supply Chain, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to optimize customer service, network performance, and total landed cost.
Proactively manage day‑to‑day shipment exceptions, resolving issues quickly and communicating business impact to stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers (LSPs), forwarders, carriers, brokers, and vendors to ensure SLA and SRM compliance.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, or freight forwarding within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Strong knowledge of Australia and New Zealand customs regulations and international trade compliance.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES
Experience managing multi‑modal transportation (ocean, air, land, intermodal) across international supply chains.
Hands‑on experience with SAP and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills in a fast‑paced operations environment.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and regional coordination simultaneously.
Experience working with KPIs, logistics cost controls, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
