ABOUT THE ROLE

  • This position is responsible for the financial and accounting payroll process for Mexico and Costa Rica, for a staff of over 1,000 employees. Responsible for the operational process and its controlling, ensuring the monthly and weekly payment of payroll.

  • Responsible for audits and accounting reconciliations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Payroll in Mexico (+1,000 employees) and Costa Rica, payment of food vouchers and restaurants.

  • Investment of Savings Fund, Pension Plan and Savings Bank.

  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts in Blackline.

  • Annual Budget. 

  • Monthly Closing - Registration of accounting policies in SAP, provision of executive bonuses, intercompany payroll collection.

  • Share analysis of BGT vs Actual variations.

  • Special payroll process - Payment of PTU, Aguinaldo, Vacation Bonus, PTU ex-employees, FONACOT payment, Caja Costarricense payment, severance payments, retirements and terminations.

  • Attend audits and requirements of internal / external control.

  • Tax Requirements - VAT refund information, ISR confirmation for salaries and ISN proration.

  • Attending to employee inquiries and requests.

  • Inquiries to complete INEGI reporting.

  • Key contact for benefits provider

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • University Degree in Accounting.

  • Verifiable experience of 4 years

  • Management of software Office, SAP, Blackline, BPC.

  • English advanced.

  • Power BI preferred.

  • Leadership skills, teamwork, problem solving and critical analysis.

  • Proactivity.

  • Good management of internal (HR, HRDC and employees) and external (MPW) relations.

  • Effective and assertive communication.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time.

  • Remote work once a week for eligible employees.

  • Contract for an indefinite period of time.
