Associate Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) – North America Consumer Brands

ABOUT THE ROLE

SC Johnson is hiring an experienced finance professional to join our team as an Associate Manager.

In this individual contributor role, you will partner closely with the North America Consumer Brands (NACB) Leadership Team and provide business decision support, general financial analyses, forecasting, and coordination of total Business Unit processes and forecasts. As Associate Manager, you will also lead special projects across North America that support corporate initiatives and objectives, identify and implement best practices across North America finance, and develop processes to improve efficiency or increase analytical capabilities.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a consultative subject matter expert mindset and broad business perspective, act as a sounding board and liaison to business support groups and participate in the formulation of business plans. You will report to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NACB and have close interactions with senior finance leaders accountable for their respective product portfolio performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with brand management to prepare budgets and forecasts that achieve sales, share and profit targets as well as developing contingency plans, identifying risks/opportunities and recommending changes in support of strategy.

  • Perform complex finance activities such as monthly and ad hoc financial statement analysis and commentary, pricing analytics, scenario modeling, ROI and tradeoff analyses, etc.

  • Ensure accuracy of monthly and year-end financial statements.

  • Provide financial counsel to cross-functional teams, improving decision making and developing solutions to address business issues.

  • Optimizes net working capital through cross‑functional S&OP leadership, supporting Integrated Reconciliation (Step 4) and executing SKU optimization initiatives.

  • Drive Delivered Profit improvement by working cross-functionally to identify and implement cost savings projects.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, analytics or other related field and 5+ years of directly related experience, OR advanced degree with 3+ years of directly related experience.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Experience with financial activities such as financial analysis, valuations, discounted cash flow, P&L, financial modeling, financial statement analysis, etc.

  • Experience in cost management, sales finance, marketing/strategic business issues, complex analytical projects, and fundamental accounting.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to implement and monitor internal controls and develop process improvements.

  • Leadership skills and ability to influence others to achieve business results

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and make meaningful contributions to a team.

  • Ability to influence, lead projects and effectively collaborate to achieve objectives and produce results.

  • SAP, S/4HANA, Business Planning and Continuity (BPC).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • This position will be located at Sam’s Hall in Mt. Pleasant

  • Full time, Mon to Fri business hours

  • Remote work available one day a week following a 90-day onboarding period 

  • This role is eligible for domestic relocation
