Associate Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) – North American Consumer Brands Sales

ABOUT THE ROLE

SC Johnson is looking for an experienced finance professional to join the North American Consumer Brands (NACB) Sales Finance team as an Associate Manager.

In this individual contributor role, you will be a dedicated financial business partner to assigned U.S. sales account teams to provide comprehensive financial leadership and business partnership to drive profitable growth, maintain strong processes, and controls as well as optimize trade spending.

To succeed in this role, you will bring your financial subject matter expertise and business acumen to serve as a trusted advisor that supports business objectives and strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with sales teams to prepare sales and deal forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and develop contingency plans to deliver budget commitments.

  • Prepare analysis of trade spending (pre-event and post-event ROI) and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of trade spending.

  • Provide financial counsel to cross-functional teams, improving decision making and developing solutions to address business issues.

  • Provide financial modeling and develop recommendations to support internal decision making in preparation for customer meetings.

  • Manage functional expenses and prepare account reconciliations.

  • Additional special projects, identifying and implementing process Improvements and ad hoc analysis.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant business program and 5+ years of related Finance experience, OR Advanced degree in accounting, finance or relevant business program and 3 + years of related Finance experience

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Degree in finance or accounting

  • Finance or accounting experience in commercial/consumer goods industry or product supply chain finance

  • Proficient in ROI analytics and trade-off analysis of sales and marketing spend

  • Demonstrated analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Ability to summarize financial data clearly and concisely to enable speed and quality of decision making

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make meaningful contributions to finance/business objectives

  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate, lead and influence cross- functional teams to produce results and deliver against business priorities.

  • MS Office, SAP/S4 Hana, Power BI, BPC

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is located at the Sam’s Hall building located at Sam’s campus in Mt. Pleasant

  • Full time Monday through Friday business hours

  • Remote work available once per week for eligible employees

  • Occasional domestic travel

  • This role is not eligible for relocation
