The technician would be expected to respond to facilities work orders involving light carpentry or miscellaneous building support.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of minor maintenance for site facilities, including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, and basic mechanical maintenance work. Ensures that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
- Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma
- Ability to lift to 50lbs
- Carpentry and Mechanical hand and power tool familiarity.
- Working knowledge of construction materials and fasteners.
- General understanding of construction methods.
- The ability to work at heights using lifts and ladders.
- Able to operate PIV vehicles (Taylor Dunn, Stake truck, UTVs, forklifts, aerial lifts, etc.…)
- Verbal and electronic communication.
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- Forklift Certification
- Plumbing / Pipefitting
- Maintenance work / budget prioritization
- Work Permitting knowledge
- Contractor management
- Fire Brigade / Emergency Response
