ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Manager, Digital and Social Media, you’ll play a key role in bringing SC Johnson’s corporate story to life across digital and social channels. You’ll execute and help evolve our corporate social and digital communications strategy—from governance, editorial and campaign planning to content development, channel management, and supporting high-visibility external initiatives.
You’ll shape thoughtful, engaging communications that reflect SC Johnson’s values and connect our corporate narrative with diverse audiences.
Success in this role is rooted in collaboration. You’ll lead through influence, building strong partnerships across cross-functional teams and agency partners to turn ideas into meaningful, impactful communications.
As part of our Global Corporate Affairs, Communications and Sustainability team, you’ll join a collaborative, high-performing group working together to advance our strategic priorities through impactful, integrated communications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations for corporate social and digital strategy, editorial planning, content development, and channel best practices guidance.
Manage social media channels, including social listening, community engagement, performance monitoring, and reputational risk escalation.
Support paid social strategy and execution, partnering with agencies on media planning, content, analytics, and performance insights.
Support executive social media communications through best practice guidance, editorial planning and content development support, and analytics reporting.
Help shape and execute the corporate website strategic roadmap, partnering with IT and agencies to deliver an accessible, user-focused digital experience.
Translate digital and social performance insights into actionable recommendations.
Manage agency and vendor relationships, including briefs, communications, deliverables, and budget oversight.
Provide digital and social support for issues, crisis communications, and key external events.
Build strong partnerships across internal teams, external agencies, and vendors.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
7+ years of social & digital experience in corporate, business, agency, or consulting setting including:
in depth knowledge of social media best practices, including but not limited to: organic and paid strategies, community management, social listening, and analytics reporting.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to develop compelling, high-quality content for digital/social channels that aligns with organizational voice, standards, and strategic objectives;
Experience developing social & digital channel strategies aligned with business priorities. content execution, and analytics reporting.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Experience developing and applying search engine optimization (SEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies.
Experience managing content within enterprise content management systems.
Experience utilizing an enterprise digital asset management (DAM) system as a method for ongoing asset organization.
Experience working in corporate communications and/or public affairs teams.
Previous global and/or consumer products industry experience.
Bilingual or working knowledge of a second language.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
This position will be located at the Racine Headquarters location.
This role is onsite 5 days per week for the first 90 days. After 90 days, the role is eligible for 1 remote day per week, based on business needs and manager alignment.
Occasional travel may be required.
This role is eligible for domestic relocation.
