Associate Manager, Quality Engineering

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Improve the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with product requirements in the operation through compliance with the quality control plan, as well as the global standards established by the company and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide support in the continuous improvement of operations and the Quality Management Systems, through the improvement of key performance indicators such as consumer and customer complaints.

  • Ensure that qualification processes, for new products or operational improvements, meet all established quality criteria and global standards, ensuring the quality and safety of the products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Quality Management System, as well as the document control system, risk and opportunity matrix, and non-conformity management.

  • Respond to customer and consumers complaints, in Mexico and all regions, giving a clear response and generating effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Management of production, engineering and new product projects by quality, through the qualification process.

  • Provide technical support to production lines and all processes in monitoring quality indicators.

  • Attention and resolution of quality issues in all technologies.

  • Plan and ensure compliance with the legal quality matrix and management of controlled substances.

  • Plan the annual audit program. Lead and support the different site audits (internal & external) – ISO 9001, GMP´s, Kosher, Disney (CoC), Costco (GMP & CoC), FSSC 22000.

  • Lead and support global standards training, self-assessments, implementation and gaps follow up.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • BS in Engineering, Chemical or appropriate field

  • Knowledge of applied statistics including process capability, sampling, and design of experiments

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality. Familiar with and experienced in the process and technical management requirements of quality control and/or assurance.

  • Familiar with and experienced in basic quality tools, such as Control Plan, SPC, AQL, R&R, Sample Size & Confidence Interval, Problem Solving, audits.

  • Computer skills including Excel and SAP

  • English: intermediate to advanced

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS 

  • Quality system auditing experience: ISO 9001 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GPM’s)

  • Experience in Statistical Processes Control (SPC) and problem-solving techniques.

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills, and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Project management and managing multiple priorities

  • Effective collaboration with multi-functional and global teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-Time (5 days Monday to Friday)

  • Contract for an Undetermined Time

  • This role is not eligible for relocation
