Sr Analyst Accounting

ABOUT THE ROLE

A highly skilled professional with a strong background in accounting, tax, and foreign trade, serving as a key partner to senior management and the Trade Compliance team in Mexico. As part of the Finance Controlling team for the Northern Cluster, this role plays a strategic role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and operational integrity across trade-related processes.

The Senior Accounting Analyst brings a data-driven, audit-oriented mindset, leveraging robust analytical capabilities to interpret and connect financial, tax, and trade information. This position is empowered to lead audits, conduct process reviews, and engage cross-functionally to ensure alignment with internal controls and management expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit Report Preparation (System Millenium) - Compliance

  • Support for the trade team (consultations, signatures, documentation, etc.)

  • Fixed Asset Reconciliation (Customs declaration vs Fixed Assets Accounting List)

  • Trade Compliance Audit (Support)

  • Generation of trade audit reports on compliance or non-compliance KPIs

  • Generation of a Control Framework for annual audits of Trade Compliance

  • Review of Annex 30 (bimonthly), reported by Trade Compliance.

  • Main INEGI contact. Responsible for responding to all INEGI Surveys.

  • Maintain high performance and monitoring of key indicators, escalating potential issues opportunely.

  • Sending information to different government agencies such as INEGI and Secretary of Economy.

  • Maintenance of positive relationships with externals (Tax and foreign trade advisors, etc.)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting/Finance/Tax/Trade or related degree.

  • Advanced English speaker.

  • Accounting and foreign trade knowledge with strong proven analytical skills.

  • Ability to build influential partnerships throughout the organization by demonstrating an understanding of accounting, foreign trade, internal controls and corporate policies.

  • Adapt at flexible and creative problem-solving.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP

  • Preferable to have experience managing Millenium System

  • High Accounting and Tax Knowledge

  • 2+ years of related experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Advance English level.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-Time

  • Once-weekly remote work for eligible employees

  • Contract for an Undetermined Time

  • This role is not eligible for relocation
