Overview
Global Regulatory Compliance and Registration (GRRC) provides global regulatory leadership, expertise, and execution for the information/dossier development, product registration, and compliance management of all SC Johnson products. This role is within the GSARA (Global Safety Assessment and Regulatory Affairs) Organisation.
Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Compliance & Registration, Central and Northern Cluster, GSARA Europe, the Associate Manager Regulatory Compliance & Registration specialist will coordinate local compliance activities for all SCJ products in the DACH countries serving as a single point of contact for all product related regulatory compliance inquiries.
The role is based in the SC Johnson office in Germany which is located in Erkrath, directly east of Düsseldorf. We are a multicultural team with diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities
Accountability for regulatory compliance and registration actions for assigned countries (DACH).
Determining, negotiating, and communicating registration and other regulatory requirements with respect to data, key documentation, and other supporting information to internal stakeholders as appropriate. Co-ordinating, collating and submitting registration dossiers for product registrations in DACH countries for new registrations and amendments.
Continuously evaluating the regulatory climate of the assigned countries, identifying potential issues which may arise, and working to favorably impact the outcome of emerging or existing issues.
Attending Industry Association meetings and communicate relevant information to the respective internal stakeholders
Responding to requests from global or regional project teams to provide critical input into regulatory needs for product launch in DACH countries.
Localizing regulatory documents to fit specifications of the DACH countries (e.g. SDS etc.), product notification in Switzerland, artwork development and release of products fit for market.
Understanding and applying relevant GSARA processes and procedures. Maintaining company databases, regulatory websites and compliance related IT tools
Experience you’ll bring:
BSc or MSc degree (or equivalent) preferably in a related Science field (Chemistry, Biology) is strongly preferred
A strong understanding and experience of working with consumer product legislation and regulations, both at the local and European level
5 years of experience in the related regulatory and/or registration area in an FMCG environment
Behaviors you’ll need:
Proven situational leadership skills and demonstrated experience in influencing internal and external stakeholders as well as forging strong relationships with colleagues
Demonstrated ability to work with different cultures in an international context
Strong communication skills, must be able to summarize, simplify and articulate in English and German technical information to diverse audiences both verbally and in writing
Problem solving skills with the ability to bring projects to a conclusion
German native speaker as well as English (fluent/professional) required. French (basic) s a plus.
Self-directed with a “can do” attitude and willingness to drive change
