About the Role
The Global Safety Assessments and Regulatory Affairs (GSARA) team ensures SC Johnson products meet the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance worldwide. We lead regulatory strategy, guide data and dossier development, and support product registrations and lifecycle management across all markets.
As the Lead Registration and Regulatory Compliance Specialist for the UK & Ireland, you will be the primary expert for all local product compliance matters. You will partner with cross‑functional teams, provide clear regulatory guidance, and manage all regional compliance activities and inquiries. The role involves working with internal and external stakeholders to gather, assess and coordinate the documentation needed to ensure full regulatory compliance and secure timely product registrations.
What you'll do
- Manage all regulatory compliance and product registration activities for the UK & Ireland.
- Review and approve product labels and launch materials.
- Submit, maintain and track local biocidal product registrations, including amendments.
- Align local compliance activities with regional and global regulatory plans.
- Communicate registration and regulatory requirements, data needs and documentation expectations to internal teams.
- Interpret complex regulatory guidelines and summarise impacts for relevant functions.
- Provide regulatory input to global and regional project teams to support product launches.
- Monitor the regulatory landscape for emerging issues and influence outcomes where possible.
- Collaborate with industry associations and respond to regulatory authority inquiries.
- Adapt and localise regulatory documents (e.g., SDSs) for UK and IE requirements.
- Maintain regulatory databases, systems and GSARA process compliance.
Experience you'll Bring
- At least BSc or MSc degree (or equivalent) preferably in a related Science field (Chemistry, Biology) is strongly preferred
- A strong understanding and experience of working with consumer product legislation and regulations, both at the local and European level
- At least 5 years experience in the related regulatory and/or registration area in an FMCG environment
- Good knowledge of CLP regulations and having worked with Safety Data Sheets
