As an Associate Manager, Chemistry for Safer Efficacy Global Research & Development, you will be at the forefront of creating cutting-edge formulations that support our global brands. Your focus will be on aerosols, liquids, and new technologies, driving the development of new products and line extensions that deliver exceptional consumer benefits and enhance environmental sustainability.

You'll work with a variety of product types, ensuring that each one meets the highest standards of performance and sustainability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Innovate and Transform: Formulate groundbreaking new products and implement impactful product changes. Lead technology advancements and conduct competitive assessments that drive new consumer benefits, reduce costs, and enhance the environmental impact of our products.
Collaborate and Accelerate: Work closely with multifunctional core teams (RD&E, Design, Marketing, Marketing Research, and Product Supply) to swiftly identify, develop, and launch new products.
Lead and Develop: Spearhead formula development for new product solutions from concept to formula lock, leveraging your chemistry expertise and deep understanding of end-user needs to meet Technical Discovery objectives.
Communicate and Inspire: Convey complex ideas clearly and concisely to colleagues at all levels and across diverse disciplines and functions, delivering business-building solutions.
Analyze and Optimize: Utilize your knowledge of experimental design and statistics to efficiently select the best formulas for development work.
Document and Support: Write and review procedures, test protocols, and specifications to support product development activities for new formulas and products.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or other relevant scientific field and 5+ years of directly related experience, OR Master’s degree in Chemistry or other relevant scientific field and 3+ years of directly related experience
Experience in formulation of consumer products Research & Development (R&D), including:
Experience launching products which includes navigating through End-to-End Stage Gate process
Experience with regulatory processes involved in taking a product to market
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Related end to end experience with global consumer products
Strong communication skills
Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, linking root cause to action to KPI improvement
Critical thinking and problem solving
Experience using DOE (Design of experiment) software such as JMP
Experience with formulating emulsion systems
Experience in leading internal and external development including partnering with 3rd parties for co-development or supplier lead development
Inquisitive mindset with a drive to explore innovative solutions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
This position will be located at our Sam’s office location in Mount Pleasant, WI
Position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday and requires work in both the lab and office environments
Remote work is available once per week for eligible employees
This role is eligible for domestic relocation
