ABOUT THE ROLE
The Associate Manager, Demand Planning owns and drives the S&OP (Design) horizon for one or more Business Units in North America. As a key contributor to Steps 1 and 2 of the S&OP process, this role plays a critical part in aligning cross-functional inputs and ensuring forecast accuracy. In Step 2, the Associate Manager is responsible for developing and delivering a refreshed monthly forecast, leveraging insights from Sales, Marketing, shipment history, promotional activity, and other relevant data sources to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead monthly and quarterly demand forecasting and consensus processes for assigned portfolio or region.
- Collaborate closely with commercial partners gathering insights into long term business trends, media, and promo plans to influence our long-range forecast.
- Partner with Commercial and Supply Planning partners to model future business risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to develop 18-month, data-rooted, final consensus forecast and drive business initiatives as part of the SCJ Strategic Plan.
- Review, validate, and present the demand plan in cross-functional forums such as pre-sign-off and sign-off meetings (S&OP meetings)
- Work in partnership or Lead Deliver planners to incorporate S&OE forecast changes into long range plans; adjust plans for long term impacts.
- Communicate and present monthly changes with clear data drivers and gain collective buy-in from cross functional partners on a consensus forecast.
- Responsible for actioning Corplan (budget) plans annually.
- Conduct root cause analysis of forecast errors and identify corrective actions.
- Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational inefficiencies
- Work with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, obsolescence, and transitions to evaluate assumptions – new product forecast, pipeline fill, and cannibalization
- Drive continuous performance improvement by supporting the Demand Planning Team in the defined daily/weekly processes
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- 5+ years progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles (or equivalent) with increasing responsibility.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to present recommendations concisely to cross functional partners and gain support for consensus plans rooted in data and assumptions.
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, linking root cause to action driving KPI improvement.
- Ability to work with and deal with ambiguity; analyze existing data, make assumptions, and present business cases for action.
- A fast-paced and strong cross-functional project management capabilities.
- End to End Supply Chain knowledge and understanding; able to quickly make decisions based on analysis of current assumptions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Position is Full-Time.
- Regular business hours, Monday-Friday.
- This role is eligible for domestic relocation.
- Office work environment: Remote work available once a week for eligible employees.
- Travel <10%.
