ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join the North America Manufacturing finance team and be aligned to our Ziploc manufacturing plant located in Bay City, MI.
As Associate Manager, you will oversee and manage the manufacturing P&L, perform DP margin analysis, and provide financial leadership to the management team. You will partner with the Bay City site leader and have overall accountability for reporting on Bay City budgeted functional and manufacturing expenses.
Routine and ad hoc analyses includes plant specific projects such as Lean manufacturing, crew utilization, capacity planning, capital investments and staffing analysis as well as other Product Supply projects and strategies. You will also interact with the Home Storage Business Director and Field Sales Manager, manufacturing and Global Supply Chain finance to provide analysis, insight and reporting on key initiatives.
You will be located at the Waxdale manufacturing plant in the Racine, WI area. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a presence at the Bay City plant and will travel approximately one week each month.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as subject matter expert to Global Home Storage business on COS topics.
Develop and ensure that product costs are accurate and in accordance with the global costing methodology, including leadership of Bay City COS budgeting (functional budget, annual burden study and SAP costing).
Perform month end close processes and COS variance analysis, with ability to identify, communicate and action key issues.
Provide a monthly P&L forecast (COF) which details: paced volumes, functional expenses, manufacturing variances (efficiency/material) and absorption projections all linked to the S&OP process.
Maintain process controls encompassing all elements of COS accounting, including ownership, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory controls and capital vs. expense determination.
Support margin improvement strategies, including cost savings (ensuring alignment with Global Cost Savings Policy), translation to the P&L, achievement of cost savings targets and DTV (support for DTV leadership team and oversight for DTV teardowns and analysis).
Manage capital funds including reviewing business cases for capital spending and facilitating capital planning meetings.
Provide timely, relevant and actionable reporting of key performance measures.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant business discipline and 5+ years of directly related experience; OR advanced degree with 3+ years of directly related experience
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Finance experience in a manufacturing environment and/or consumer packaged goods industries
Experience in cost management, sales finance, exposure to marketing/strategic business issues, significant analytical projects, and fundamental accounting.
Demonstrated analytical skillset (i.e., complex financial analysis, discounted cash flow/project valuation) and financial statement management (P&L analysis and modeling).
Proficient in ROI analytics and trade-off analysis of marketing and trade spending.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization.
Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Suite.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and make meaningful contributions to a team while influencing others and leading projects through effective collaboration to achieve objectives and produce results.

Position is located at the Waxdale plant located in the Racine area
Remote work available once a week for eligible employees
Approximately 25% travel (One week per month to Bay City, MI)
This role is NOT eligible for relocation
