- Quality Analyst – 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Role Overview
The Quality Analyst (contractor) position will be supporting the manufacturing site quality department reporting to the site Quality leader.
The individual will have the responsibility for ensuring that the quality management system implemented on the manufacturing floor is robust and followed to ensure product compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to review and validate products/test methods and equipment based on quality requirements, recommend changes to predetermined quality guidelines, demonstrate strong attention to detail and have analytical and problem-solving abilities. This role is also responsible for interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards as well as quality training systems, supplier relations and laboratory systems. The role will also include initiatives and projects support including supplier/product and external manufacturing qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise procedures and work instructions for compliance with the QMS while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Perform assessments to ensure the functionality, reliability, performance and quality of the products.
- Identify and remedy defects within the production process.
- Compile and analyze statistical data.
- Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process.
- Test method and equipment verification and validation including protocol development and effectiveness
- Effectively manage and communicate product processes and system quality issues with applicable departments on a day-to-day basis.
- Develop and carry out any quality-related training required within their area of expertise.
- Develop quality training plan including quality training materials to be used by site
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement projects as required by management.
- Control internal calibration plan and calibrate critical measurement tools internally as required.
- Create and review QMS compliance matrix including creation and execution of QMS system health checks
- Perform incoming inspection of critical products, noncompliant, and/or returned materials for verification, disposition, and recording of appropriate information and records, as required.
- Generate inspection reports, maintain, and control inspection records, as required.
- Responsible for completion, reporting, and investigation of NCR as assigned by the manager.
Experience you will bring:
- Matric with a National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or NQF Equivalent
- At least 5 years in support of a diverse team, preferably for a manufacturing industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality analyst position
- Experience in quality laboratory management including equipment and test method verification and validation
- Internal calibration of measurement tools experience
- Auditing experience, ISO 9001 knowledge/certificate is preferred.
