Manager, Security Latin America

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is to support all company activities and implement Corporate Security Policy in the Latin America region. The position is responsible for proactively identifying security risks within the region and working with local, country and regional management to evaluate and appropriately address the risks. The position will mentor and assist local managers with security responsibility.

The position reports to the Senior Director Global Security with a dotted line to identify regional management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela.

Provides security goals, planning, implementation strategies and support to local, country, and regional management.

Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards, training and methods for identifying and protecting employees, brands, facilities, information, and other assets from assault, theft, tampering, unauthorized disclosure, and other risks.

Plans, develop and implement security protocol measurements in terms of effectiveness, cost, maintenance and alignment with global security goals and objectives.

Investigates loss, theft, fraud, and other incidents as needed.

Supports regional crisis management and other regional teams and committees as appropriate.

Provides security assessments for each site, working with the site management to identify security requirements aligned with local laws, regulations and corporate security goals and objectives.

Develop and audits security standards for suppliers, co-manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure the security of SCJ brands and assets.

Collects and analyzes intelligence to anticipate significant risks and trends which can impact employees, operations, and other assets.

Provides expertise to local site management to develop budgeting for security requirements, activities and programs for each site.

Develop security plans for expatriates in the region to address risks associated with housing, family, transportation and extraction.

Extrapolates assessment information for improvement of security programs and prepares brief reports and recommendations to the Senior Director, Global Security.

Audits and ensure local security activities and actions comply with all applicable in country supply chain security, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Maintains relationships with in-country governments, law enforcement, intelligence assets and international security agencies. Ability to work in remote field environments with physically demanding activities

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING  

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience with a major corporation, law enforcement, intelligence agency or private sector security organization.

Fluent English speaking, writing, and reading is required.

Experience in conducting investigations in multiple countries.

Knowledge of supporting VIP travel and Journey Management in High Threat Environments.

Basic First Aid/Trauma training.

Knowledge of supply chain security best practices.

Project management.

Knowledge of security systems design and installation.

Experience with investigating and preventing counterfeiting.

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design/CPTED knowledge required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS.

Preferred resident for more than 15 years in the region.

Preferred Licenses/Certifications:

CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner)

CPP (Certified Protection Professional)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Full-Time

Approximately 30% travel

Ability to travel to regional operations, high risk locations, meetings, and on little notice

This role is not eligible for relocation
