ABOUT THE ROLE

The Stockroom Team Lead Specialist will organize, prioritize, and coordinate activities of their team associated with purchasing, receiving, P.O management, inventory accuracy, and monitoring adherence to financial requirements. Supporting the team with routine purchasing and backfill coverage, this position is responsible for ensuring all activities associated with stockrooms comply with Delegation of Authority requirements. They also identify suppliers who can supply required materials and optimize price while maintaining safety and quality requirements within manufacturing specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coach and develop individual team members to maximize their level of contribution to the team and business.
  • Ensure adherence to company’s purchasing/receiving policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties related to the control, documentation and management of stockroom transactions within SAP.
  • Organize, prioritize, and direct the team to support daily operations and Project Teams.
  • Monitor and report stockroom metrics ensuring compliance with the Maintenance Play Book.
  • Support purchasing, receiving and maintaining required materials to support operations.
  • Works with the site Maintenance team to monitor budgets and costs associated with multiple cost centers.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience of Inventory Management within a manufacturing     environment.
  • Demonstrated application of SAP as it relates to purchasing, receiving, and inventory management.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Prior experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Self-starter capable of leadership and ability to complete tasks independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to functional partners within the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time.
  • Work hours Monday – Friday, day shift, with flexibility when required by business needs.
  • Office environment 80% of time 20% manufacturing environment.
  • This role is not eligible for relocation or remote work.
  • Ability to complete the essential functions of the job and tolerate the ergonomic stressors of the job.  This includes lifting, up to fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis, standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing, on a daily basis.
