ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Responsible for leading the Manaus Site Engineering Team, and sits on the plant leadership team to provide technical guidance and excellence for the manufacturing site.
  • Works closely with the site Manufacturing, SHE, QA, Global Engineering and other cross functional groups (RD&E, and Commercialization) to build strong cooperation while ensuring technical & business alignment for project solutions.
  • Plays a leadership role in technical alignment for all site projects including Safety, Quality, Productivity, and New Product Initiatives.
  • Requires strong personal drive to identify opportunities, foster engineering capability and implement best practices within the site
  • Manage rolling 5-year Capital Investment Roadmap, balancing cost, impact and value – while advocating site needs to HQ to gain funding alignment
  • Oversees Digital Site Assets, such as CAD design file systems and standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads project design & implementation activities for SHE, QA, New Products, cost savings, resiliency, capacity, strategy and equipment lifecycle management related capital projects
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering annual site capital budget & managing quarterly forecast accuracy
  • Responsible for compliance to SCJ & local safety/quality policies within scoped projects
  • Leads engineering activities to support manufacturing operations continuity when required
  • Drives capital project execution excellence using HQ Engineering Work Process methodology. 
  • Drives implementation of HQ Engineering Best Practices and standardization throughout the site.
  • Leads site engineering team to improve key technical skills, capabilities and business acumen
  • Lead and inspire site engineering team in day-to-day activities  
  • Assemble and report out Engineering team metrics, spending updates, and timelines
  • Manages balance of internal resources vs. need for outsourced Engineering expertise

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Manufacturing Analyst for Productivity Projects and New Product Development, you’ll engage in detailed analysis and strategic planning to enhance manufacturing efficiency and support the launch of new products. This role offers the chance to significantly impact operational productivity and innovation within the company. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll collaborate with various departments to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement. This position provides a dynamic environment where your analytical skills and innovative ideas can lead to substantial advancements in manufacturing practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead internal plant communication on NPD-related matters;

  • Lead activities related to testing new products on production lines, ensuring that method, labor, machine, and materials are available on time;

  • Develop production schedules according to the efficiency of production lines and projected crew;

  • Generate documentation related to projects and asset controls;

  • Support routine factory management by preparing presentations, controls, and management reports for decision-making;

  • Critically analyze indicators, root causes, and actions established in any context involving the factory.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the plant management system;

  • Training and development of production leaders.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical/electrical/chemical)
  • 7+ years of experience in an Engineering Leadership position
  • Business proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Problem Solving - Identifies root cause and provides solutions as a response in a timely manner
  • Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and ability to influence cross functional leaders
  • Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities, sets goals and objectives.
  • Teamwork - Balances team & individual needs to fosters group commitment to goals / objectives.
  • Business Acumen - Understands implications of decisions; aligns work with strategic goals.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Proven ability to lead/manage across functions, divisions, and management levels.
  • Influencing, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills, including strong evidence of cross-functional partnerships.
  • Proven track record in delivery commitments with significant impact to key business metrics (growth, share, margin improvement)
  • Led or support project design and delivery greater than $1 million budget
  • Experience in implementing and leading LEAN Engineering similar methodology
  • A successful record of developing and leading people
  • Visionary Leadership - Inspires & motivates others to perform effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong CAD modeling skills and Machine Design Knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience of powdered material handling, mixing, and filling processes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • This full-time position will be located in our Manaus, BR manufacturing site location
  • Travel 5-10%
  • Externally, this position requires working with local and global engineering solution providers to source the most suitable / innovative solutions, while leverage key resources to support the site.
