ABOUT THE ROLE

Join us as an Associate Manager, Quality, where you'll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards from production to post-commercialization. In this leadership role, you'll champion quality initiatives, guide a talented team, and implement innovative methods and technologies that boost both quality and productivity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the activities, practices, and procedures employed by technicians/technical specialists to ensure successful product launches and continued product quality
Make timely decisions concerning nonconforming products and processes to ensure that the company meets its safety, quality and business objectives
Develop, implement, manage, and participate in the Quality Improvement programs aimed at preventing safety and quality problems from occurring
Promote the application of quality engineering, reliability engineering and preventative techniques such as statistically designed experiments, FMEA, AQL and Defect Classification, and Control Plans throughout the entire organization
Check and correct standard operating procedures, processes or systems ensuring standards and overall results are achieved
Develop, publish, and implement quality procedures and practices to support the local quality management system
Select, develop, and motivate a competent technical staff to provide the base for efficient and effective quality operations. This function includes the evaluation of technical performance by administration of annual performance reviews of staff members, by the recommendation of salary increases and by the recommendation and implementation of skill development programs
Manage and implement Waxdale Quality Assurance strategy to align with regional objectives
Effectively partner with colleagues from Site Leadership Teams, RD&E, Legal, Product Supply, Logistics, Procurement, Contract Manufacturing and Marketing
Provide quality system and compliance assessments of the manufacturing facility and drive continuous improvement
Drives performance aligned with key business metrics by leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and championing quality improvements across teams
Maintenance and improvement of the ISO9001 standards as well as other regulatory bodies as dictated by product portfolio
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in science or related discipline or military experience considered in lieu of education requirement with 5+ plus years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality environment OR advanced degree with 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality environment
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Thorough and updated knowledge of applicable quality techniques, which include:
Component and product life testing techniques and data analysis
Applied Statistics including Design of Experiments
Quality planning
Quality audit
New product development and commercialization processes
People Management Experience
Will work with the highest level of compliance to Safety, Health and Environment rules and regulations
Strong influential and interpersonal skills
Quick understanding of manufacturing processes
Experience with high-volume consumer products
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Full-time onsite role at Waxdale manufacturing facility
Up to 10% travel required, possibly including overnight
This position is not eligible for remote work
