Intern, AMET Global Trade Compliance
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Overview
In this role you will support the AMET team in drafting processes of imports, exports & customs clearance in the region. In addition to supporting the risk mitigation requirement according to Customs Authorities, by preparing internal customs audit exercise. You will be responsible for internal audit system, documents retention, connecting with brokers, customs offices and conformity service providers within Africa, Middle East & Turkey.
Responsibilities
Conduct internal customs audit on SCJ imports
Help the team in drafting Standard Routines and Standard Operating Procedures
Coordinate the work around “Offline Shipments”
Monitoring weekly clearance KPIs with customs brokers
Experience you’ll bring:
Interest in Logistics & Imports/Exports & Global Trade Operations
University degree in related fields (Business Administration, International Trade, Economics or Law, open for other backgrounds provided core presence of the first pre-requisite)
Arabic and English fluent speaker (verbal and written communication), Turkish is considered a competitive advantage.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (must) and Power BI (plus)
Legal eligibility to work in Egypt.

Job Requirements
6 months assignment
Typical working hours apply. Extra working hours might be required if there is an urgent governmental audit, essential project, or any other business urgency.
Job might involve short travels to some Egyptian sea ports
