ABOUT THE ROLE
The Accounts Receivable Specialist reports to the Credit & Collections Manager and provides collections management of a portfolio of customers. You will play a critical role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills to resolve issues, support internal teams, and maintain positive customer relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collections & Customer Account Support (50%):
Contact customers to resolve past due invoices
Record activity and maintain account accuracy in SAP
Send account statements and apply payments for prepay customers
Issue Resolution & Collaboration (25%):
Work with IT Department (EDI), warehouses, and carriers to resolve invoice and delivery issues
Respond to inquiries from internal teams and escalate complex problems
Handle chargebacks and support other Credit Specialists as needed
Reporting & Administrative Tasks (25%)
Drive initiatives to improve processes, collaborating with customers and internal teams
Assist with annual audit requests for cash remittance
Prepare aging reports and follow-up summaries
Process check-requests for refunds and fees
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Associates Degree and +2 years of Accounts Receivable or Finance experience
+1 year of experience with an ERP System
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Experience working in a shared services environment
Experience with SAP R/3 FI modules
Experience in customer-facing roles or external business interactions
Bachelor’s Degree
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skill

Office work environment: Remote work available once a week for eligible employees
This role is not eligible for relocation
